What we have to say about thieves.
Are you one?
If so, we hope you'll be reformed.
If not, we hope you'll join us in fighting this scourge.
Our
images, designs and text are protected by Registered Legal Copyright
© 2002, HorseDesigns.Com, All Rights Reserved, and may not
be copied or duplicated, electronically or otherwise. Violators
will be (and have been) prosecuted to the fullest extent of the
federal law, and that means attorney's fees, court costs, public
notices, fines, loss of income, and siezure of goods. We retain
a copyright attorney specifically for this purpose.
Thanks
to our loyal customers who have spotted some unscrupulous folks
around the country, at shows, in stores, flea markets and on
the internet, we have been successful in catching several design
thieves and stopping them in their tracks with dire consequences.
Any potential thieves will regret testing our resolve on this
issue!
We
also keep our eyes open on behalf of other artists and have reported
to them when we find people on ebay, the internet or at trade
shows and fairs, events, etc., illegally selling their designs.
We have found that supporting each other in this manner has helped
the ongoing fight against unethical people. We encourage other
folks to enjoy their individuality and not degrade themselves
by stealing from others. It's more costly to your reputation
and pocketbook in the long haul. As some have already found out,
the internet has made this a very small world. We would prefer
to be your friend and support your individualism and not be your
enemy and fight your theft.
We
are also aware of other people who specifically used our ideas
and the ideas of other original designers because they lack the
imagination or are too lazy to create their own. Whenever these
come to our attention we notify them that their poor ethics are
damaging to their reputation as well as hurtful and disrespectful
to others. We have been very successful in helping them to see
this is not the way to conduct their business. But unfortunately,
we know of one website and ebay seller that continues to copy
others ideas anyway, offering them for sale on their website
as "original." We hope that you as a customer will
choose to not patrionize these copycatters and feel free to let
them know you disapprove when you come across them.
If
you are in the business of creating and selling designs on T-Shirts,
Mugs, Mousepads, and other printed media, we invited you to join
us in fighting this problem and not contribute to it. YOU could
be the next person who gets ripped off.
Thank
you!
